British Motor Museum Unveils “The Gallery 2025” – A Celebration of Automotive Art

Gaydon, Warwickshire – April 2025 — The British Motor Museum is proud to announce the opening of its latest exhibition, “The Gallery 2025”, a continuing collaboration with Historic Car Art. Running until 26 June 2025, this vibrant showcase brings together an impressive collection of motoring-inspired artwork from some of Britain’s most innovative automotive artists and sculptors.

Visitors to the Museum can immerse themselves in a diverse array of styles and media from acclaimed artists including Jonny Ambrose, Emma Capener, Steve Goodwin, John Ketchell, Oliver Ray, and Keith Woodcock. Each piece captures the spirit, beauty, and history of motoring in unique and creative ways.

As a special feature of the exhibition, guests will also be able to witness ‘live art’ sessions, where select artists will be working on their pieces in the gallery space—offering a rare glimpse into the creative process.

In addition, the Museum is inviting the next generation of artists to get involved with a Young Artist Competition, giving young creatives the chance to have their work exhibited at the Museum. The winning entries will be displayed from 29 May to 26 June, forming part of The Gallery 2025. The competition will be judged by a panel including Stephen Laing, Head of Collections & Engagement at the Museum, and Rupert Whyte, owner of Historic Car Art. The deadline for submissions is 28 April 2025, and full entry details are available on the Museum’s website.

Founded in 2004, Historic Car Art is a renowned specialist in automotive art and vintage posters, serving collectors and enthusiasts around the world. The business was born from a passion for cars, motorsport heritage, and the artistic expression of automotive history.

Rupert Whyte, owner of Historic Car Art, shared his enthusiasm:
"It’s a pleasure to collaborate with the British Motor Museum once again. The automotive art scene in Britain is thriving, and this exhibition highlights the incredible talent we’re fortunate to work with. Whether you’re a classic car enthusiast or simply appreciate great art, there’s something here to spark the imagination."

Stephen Laing, Head of Collections & Engagement at the Museum, added:
"We’re thrilled to bring ‘The Gallery 2025’ to life in partnership with Historic Car Art.
