RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2025: A Celebration of ‘Plants & People’

The RHS Malvern Spring Festival, a flagship four-day horticultural event, will kick off the 2025 RHS Floral Show season when it returns to the Three Counties Showground in Malvern from 8–11 May 2025. With an exciting theme of ‘Plants & People’, this year’s festival promises a packed programme of innovative features, insightful talks, and interactive experiences.

The 2025 theme invites visitors to explore the profound connection between plants and human life, highlighting their role in enhancing physical and mental wellbeing, improving air quality, and providing food. Through expert-led talks, the festival will delve into topics such as gardening for wellness, making plant care accessible and sustainable, and exploring the journey from cultivation to consumption. This year’s festival celebrates the idea that caring for plants not only nurtures ourselves but also fosters stronger communities and a healthier planet.

Exciting New Features for 2025
RHS Malvern Spring Festival has a proud history of innovation, and 2025 will introduce several ground-breaking features:

  • RHS Judged Indoor Plant Gardens
    For the first time, Malvern will host RHS-judged Indoor Plant Gardens, showcasing creative ways to use indoor plants to enhance daily life. This pioneering feature, located in the Festival of Houseplants area, will highlight the versatility and accessibility of indoor gardening, offering solutions for those without outdoor space. The gardens will compete for the prestigious title of the first-ever RHS medal-winning Indoor Plant Garden of 2025.

  • Give it a Grow Theatre
    The new Give it a Grow theatre will debut, offering practical advice, inspirational talks, and expert tips for gardeners of all experience levels. Topics include propagation techniques, creating rain gardens, designing natural garden screens, and improving soil health. This vibrant hub will inspire visitors to grow smarter and more sustainably.

  • Dog Day
    For the first time, well-behaved dogs on short, fixed leads will be welcomed at the festival on Sunday, 11 May 2025. A limited number of tickets are available for dog entry, ensuring a fun experience for pets and their owners.

  • VIP Experiences
    Exclusive VIP packages offer unique opportunities to enhance your festival experience, including an early Floral Marquee preview and breakfast with horticultural expert Jon Wheatley (£112 per person), a private Show Garden tour with breakfast (£112 per person), or an indulgent cream tea with BBC Gardeners’ World presenters Rachel de Thame (9 May) or Adam Frost (10 May, £134 per person).

Festival Highlights
The RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2025 will feature the first RHS-medal-winning outdoor show gardens of the year, expert advice from top horticulturists and TV personalities like Alan Titchmarsh CBE, live cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, and a variety of family-friendly activities. Visitors can also enjoy a wide array of shopping, food, and drink experiences.

The popular Taster Ticket will return on Saturday, 10 May, offering afternoon entry from 2pm for just £16. This is a perfect option for first-time visitors, families, or those looking for a focused plant-shopping experience.
