Cheddar Gorge and Caves

Cheddar Gorge and Caves tower 450 feet into the air and plunge 450 feet into the Earth. This natural and ancient spectacle, set in the heart of Somerset, is a truly natural jewel of Britain.

Cheddar Gorge is a significant site of ecological importance and is classed as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) with an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
