Belvoir Castle Invites Visitors to Deck the Halls
This Christmas

Belvoir Castle is preparing to welcome visitors for a spectacular festive season, with its much-loved Christmas experience returning throughout November and December. Early group bookings are now open.

Following the success of last year's celebrations, which attracted thousands of visitors to experience the castle's stunning decorations and festive atmosphere, the Leicestershire attraction is set to unveil an all-new Christmas theme for 2026.

Inspired by the magic of traditional festive celebrations, this year's theme, Decking the Halls, will transform the historic castle into a dazzling showcase of Christmas elegance. Perched high above the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, the castle's magnificent State Rooms will each be individually decorated, drawing inspiration from much-loved Christmas carols and festive traditions.

Visitors will be welcomed by live musical performances from choirs and musicians, helping to create a truly magical atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

After exploring the beautifully decorated castle and taking in the peaceful winter gardens, guests can indulge in a festive Afternoon Tea served within the Castle's unique Aviary Tearoom. Featuring seasonal sandwiches and sweet treats, the experience also celebrates Belvoir Castle's special place in Afternoon Tea history. During the 19th century, the Duchess of Bedfordshire visited the castle and requested a light meal between lunch and dinner, helping to establish what would become the cherished English tradition of Afternoon Tea.

Returning by popular demand will be the impressive gingerbread replica of Belvoir Castle. Created by award-winning cake and sugar artist Michelle Walters, the four-foot-wide edible masterpiece first delighted visitors last Christmas and will return this year with new festive details inspired by Christmas at the Castle.

The festive celebrations extend beyond the castle walls into Belvoir's popular Retail Village, where visitors can enjoy seasonal workshops, special events and the return of the attraction's famous reindeer. Home to a carefully curated selection of independent shops and eateries, the village provides the perfect setting for Christmas shopping and festive dining.

The Belvoir Farm Shop will also be stocked with a range of seasonal produce, luxury hampers and festive treats. Visitors can browse products sourced from across the Belvoir Estate, including Belvoir Wine and Rare Breed meats, ideal for Christmas entertaining and gifting.

Whether visiting with family, friends or as part of a group tour, Belvoir Castle's Christmas experience promises a memorable festive day out filled with seasonal charm, entertainment and Christmas magic.

Group booking packages start from £24 per person, with a variety of bespoke options available.
