North East Lifestyle Destination to Host Popular Car Shows
Car enthusiasts and families alike are in for a treat this summer as County Durham's Raby Castle, Park and Gardens hosts two popular motoring events celebrating classic and Italian vehicles.
The first event, the much-loved Classic Car Show, returns on Sunday 28th June as part of Raby's ongoing collaboration with Durham Automobile Club. Expected to attract nearly 500 vintage and classic vehicles, the event has become a firm favourite for motoring enthusiasts while offering a fantastic day out for visitors of all ages.
Set against the backdrop of Raby's stunning parkland, the show will feature an impressive line-up of vehicles, including pre-war and brass cars, models from 1939 to 1969, 1970 to 1990 classics, modern classics from 1991 onwards, as well as motorcycles, tractors and much more.
Tickets are available now for both visitors and vehicle owners wishing to exhibit their pride and joy.
Visitors can also enjoy Raby's popular estate barbecue, serving sausage and bacon sandwiches during the morning before switching to Raby Longhorn Beef burgers and plant-based burgers from midday.
The celebrations continue on Sunday 26th July when the Italian Car Show, organised in collaboration with Auto Italia Magazine, returns to the estate.
Hundreds of iconic Italian vehicles will fill the parkland, giving visitors the chance to admire everything from classic Fiats and Alfa Romeos to prestigious Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Owners are also invited to display their vehicles as part of this colourful celebration of Italian motoring.
Tickets for both the Classic Car Show and the Italian Car Show include access to Raby's spectacular five-acre Walled Gardens and expansive Deer Park, home to its famous red and fallow deer. Visitors can also upgrade their tickets to include entry to Raby Castle and its stunning floral installation, Castle in Bloom.
Families looking to make a full day of their visit can also upgrade to include entry to The Plotters' Forest woodland adventure playground. Upgrades can be purchased online in advance for the best value or on the day at the Round House.
