Daish's Holidays sees strong growth in group bookings for 2026

Daish's Holidays is reporting a healthy increase in group bookings for 2026, reflecting the growing popularity of organised holidays among clubs, societies, friendship groups and multi-generational families.

The independent, family-owned coach holiday company has recorded a 12 per cent year-on-year rise in group bookings, as more holidaymakers discover the benefits of travelling together. Value for money, stress-free planning and the opportunity to enjoy shared experiences are proving to be key factors behind the trend.

According to Daish's Commercial Director, Paul Harper, group holidays continue to appeal because they remove much of the organisation normally associated with travelling independently.

"Group travel is proving more popular than ever this year," he says. "We are seeing more people choosing to holiday together, drawn by the ease of planning, the value for money and, importantly, the shared experience. Travelling as a group is about enjoying the holiday together, from the moment of boarding the coach to the evenings spent enjoying meals and entertainment at the hotel. That sense of community is one reason we're seeing such strong demand."

The strongest growth has been seen at the Barrowfield Hotel in Newquay, where group bookings have increased by more than 60 per cent, while guest numbers have risen by almost 130 per cent. The figures also suggest groups are becoming larger, with bookings now ranging from 12 to as many as 160 people.

Elsewhere across the Daish's portfolio, the Prince Regent Hotel in Weymouth has recorded a 13 per cent increase in group bookings, accompanied by a 32 per cent rise in guest numbers. The Abbey Lawn Hotel in Torquay has seen bookings grow by 14 per cent, while Daish's Hotel on the Isle of Wight has reported a seven per cent increase so far this year.

The positive results come as Daish's Holidays receives industry recognition for its group travel offering. The company has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Company for UK Coach/Touring Holidays category at the 2026 Group Leisure & Travel Awards.

Operating 11 hotels across England and Wales, Daish's Holidays offers both coach and self-drive breaks, specialising in traditional British seaside holidays. With prime coastal locations, organised excursions and family-friendly pricing—including free or discounted holidays for children depending on age—the company continues to attract groups looking for an easy, sociable and affordable way to explore the UK's favourite resorts.

The latest booking figures suggest the appetite for group travel shows no sign of slowing, with shared experiences and hassle-free holidays remaining firmly at the top of travellers' wish lists for 2026.
