Last week, we revealed some hugely exciting news that we’ve been keeping under wraps…

This year, we will open Guildenacre, a brand-new children’s adventure playground set within one of the Estate’s beautiful woodland areas.

Designed and created by world-class playground specialists CAP.CO (Creating Adventurous Places), Guildenacre will offer an immersive and imaginative play experience unlike anything else on the Estate.

The new playground will feature four themed areas, each inspired by one of Guildenacre’s guardian animals and their natural habitat — from burrowing deep underground to soaring high among the treetops. Across the site, young adventurers can explore slides, tunnels, towering walkways, climbing walls, a zip line and much more.

Alongside the adventure playground, modest refreshment facilities will be created within the Grade II listed Wades Barn, which will serve as the welcoming entry point for visitors preparing to embark on their magical Guildenacre experience.

Construction — including the creation of a dedicated car park — will continue into early 2026 ahead of the planned opening later this year.
