Summer Fun Awaits on the Kent and East Sussex Railway

With summer in full swing and the school holidays fast approaching, now is the perfect time to plan affordable and enjoyable days out. The award-winning Kent and East Sussex Railway is excited to announce the return of their ‘Kids Go FREE' offer* throughout July and August.

This offer allows any child under 16 to travel for free with a fare-paying adult* on the beloved heritage railway. Passengers can journey back in time on a steam train through 10.5 miles of picturesque Wealden countryside, enjoying unlimited trips up and down the line on the day of travel.

Make the most of your adventure with these free and cost-saving activities on the K&ESR:

  • Check the Website: Visit www.kesr.org.uk to discover additional activities scheduled for your travel day, such as Teddy Bears picnics, I-Spy challenges, or treasure hunts, most of which are included in your ticket.

  • Tenterden Town Station: Enjoy free entry to the Colonel Stephens Museum to learn about the light railway's history and explore the model railway room.
