Global Creatures, producer of the acclaimed Moulin Rouge! The Musical, is thrilled to announce the return of its popular behind-the-scenes event, Get Technical! – offering an exclusive look into the magic that powers the West End’s most dazzling musical.
On Tuesday, 15 July 2025 at 2:00 PM, the doors of London’s Piccadilly Theatre will open for an unforgettable afternoon designed to inspire the next generation of theatre professionals. Aspiring creatives and theatre enthusiasts will get an insider’s view of the technical artistry behind the multi award-winning production.
This immersive event features live on-stage demonstrations and talks from the show's backstage experts – from wigs and wardrobe to lighting, sound, and stage management. Audiences will discover how these departments collaborate to bring the spectacular world of Moulin Rouge! to life night after night.
Get Technical! aims to spark interest in backstage careers, offering practical insights and career advice from industry professionals who will share their own paths into theatre production. Participants will also enjoy a rare glimpse of the hidden stagecraft and technical wizardry that make the show so extraordinary.
The Get Technical! programme will also travel to select venues on the Moulin Rouge! The Musical World Tour, with further locations and dates to be announced soon.
