Explore the Enchanting World of Beetles This Summer at Stratford Butterfly Farm

Stratford-upon-Avon, [Date] – This summer, from 20th July to 1st September, visitors to Stratford Butterfly Farm are invited to delve into the captivating realm of Beetles. Mark, from 'The Insect Farm', will be making special appearances on 20th and 25th July, and 3rd, 7th, and 28th August at 11am in the Discovery Zone.

As part of The Insect Farm's team of professional entomologists, Mark will showcase Beetles, Mantis, Butterflies, Moths, and Stick Insects, providing insights into their lifecycle with live specimens.

Beetles, the largest group of insects worldwide, boast an impressive diversity with over 300,000 known species globally, including 4,000 found in Britain alone. From minuscule to sizable, these creatures exhibit distinctive features such as six jointed legs and a segmented body.

Visitors will have a unique opportunity to engage with a Beetle expert, gaining a deeper understanding of these extraordinary creatures and their ecological significance.

In conjunction with the beetle exhibit, Stratford Butterfly Farm encourages visitors to make a green promise this summer by pledging to protect nature. Pledges can be actioned at home, school, or work, and participants will be entered into a weekly prize draw for a chance to win a family season ticket to the Butterfly Farm.

Jane Kendrick, Marketing Manager at Stratford Butterfly Farm, expressed excitement about Mark's visit, stating, "Mark's presence at the Butterfly Farm offers a fantastic chance for our visitors to learn about the importance of Beetles and why conservation efforts are crucial. We also encourage everyone to join us in pledging to preserve our natural world this summer."

Daily Mini-Beast handling sessions and Butterfly Life-Cycle demonstrations will complement the Beetle exhibit, taking place at 11am in the Discovery Zone. Expert staff will guide visitors through the butterfly lifecycle stages, from egg to adult, and provide opportunities to handle various stick insects.

For those planning a visit, the Butterfly Farm recommends exploring the 'Information' section of their website. Open daily from 10am to 6pm (last entry at 5:30pm), except Christmas Day, the farm promises an enchanting experience with hundreds of butterflies, insects, reptiles, and spiders.
