We are an all-volunteer outreach project of the Historical Diving Society

and, after a lot of discussions with Gosport council, we opened in 2011.

Ours is not a museum where everything is behind glass, you can touch a

lot of things, take photographs and we have games for the children. We

try and cater for all ages and levels of knowledge of diving and our

guides often give guided tours.

The museum is housed in a Grade 2* listed building which was built

around 1857 as a gun battery to defend the coast from French invasion.

Open from 6 April every weekend and Bank Holiday until end October.

From 1100 to 4pm. Adults £5, Seniors and Children £4, Carers and under

4s free. Family ticket of two adults and up to 4 children under 16, £15.

Just contact us on our website www.divingmuseum.co.uk.
