Join the Volunteer Family at Southwell Minster – Volunteer Fair on July 27, 2024
Would you like to volunteer at one of the world’s most beautiful cathedrals and become part of our welcoming community of volunteers and staff?
Whether you have a passion for education, enjoy greeting visitors, love gardening, or have a knack for arranging flowers, there is a place for you at Southwell Minster.
On Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 10am to 2pm, we will be hosting a Volunteer Fair to encourage anyone interested in learning new skills to join our Minster family.
This event is open to all, from age 16 and up, and will showcase the incredible work our volunteers do for the Minster.
Representatives from various areas, including Palace Gardens, Education, Potwell Dyke, the Cathedral Shop, Flower Arranging, and Stewards, will be available to answer questions and provide information.
Attendees can also learn about joining The Friends of Southwell Cathedral and supporting the Southwell Minster Choir Association.
"We're not looking for previous experience in any of these areas—just enthusiasm and a genuine interest in being part of our cathedral community," says Sarah Clemson, Visitor and Volunteering Services Officer. "Our volunteers are vital to the upkeep and development of this unique building and the important work we do. In return for their time, we offer full training and references where requested."
