Summer is always one of the best times to visit Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm, and this year there's even more to tempt groups through its rainforest doors. Alongside hundreds of spectacular free-flying butterflies, visitors can enjoy reduced admission prices thanks to the Government's Summer Saver initiative, with VAT on admission tickets reduced from 20% to 5% until 1 September.

One of the highlights for returning visitors will be the reappearance of the Farm's striking floral butterfly installation. Positioned above the moon-ring in the outdoor gardens, the impressive artwork has been created in partnership with local arts and wellbeing charity Escape Arts and artist Julia Snowdin. Combining flowers, plants and nature-inspired artwork within a bespoke steel frame, it provides a colourful welcome before visitors even step inside the tropical rainforest.

The Rainforest Realm is also home to an eye-catching new resident. The vivid emerald-green Madagascar Day Gecko is native to the forests of eastern Madagascar and, unlike many reptiles, is active during the day. Its brilliant colouring and lively behaviour make it a fascinating addition to the collection, where visitors can also discover an extraordinary variety of butterflies, insects, reptiles and spiders from around the world.

For groups travelling with families or mixed-age parties during the school holidays, there are plenty of interactive experiences throughout the day. Visitors are invited to draw their favourite insects, while the Farm's knowledgeable Education Team presents daily 'Lifecycle of a Butterfly' and 'Meet the Mini Beast' demonstrations at 11am in the Discovery Zone. These popular sessions offer the chance to learn more about the incredible lifecycle of butterflies and meet unusual creatures, including the aptly named Sunny Stick Insect.

Jane Kendrick, Marketing Manager at Stratford Butterfly Farm, said: "Whether you're planning a family adventure or a fun-filled day out, now is the perfect time to discover the wonder of tropical butterflies in a unique rainforest setting. We have so much for visitors to see over the summer holidays, plus they can take advantage of our discounted admission prices."

Open daily from 10am until 6pm, with last admission at 5.30pm, Stratford Butterfly Farm offers an enjoyable all-weather attraction in the heart of Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. It makes an ideal stop for coach groups looking to combine a relaxing visit with the town's many other attractions.
